From the President:

See below for a list of ways IFB has provided value to our members in November. I encourage you to use this as a tool to help recruit and retain members.

  • Illinois Farm Bureau continued to connect its members with legislators during harvest to discuss the farm bill and other farmer needs. Illinois farmers met directly with U.S. representatives from across the state.
  • IFB fostered the development of some of the brightest young leaders in agriculture during the Collegiate Discussion Meet. Ten collegiate Farm Bureau members exchanged ideas on how to reach viable solutions to current issues facing the ag industry.
  • IFB's Resolutions Committee advanced the organization’s grassroots policy process by reviewing two dozen policy proposals. Seven of those proposals, including rural health care, direct market food assistance programs and reduced acreage requirements for agricultural land use, were advanced to delegates for final debate at Annual Meeting.
