From the President:
See below for a list of ways IFB has provided value to our members in September. I encourage you to use this as a tool to help recruit and retain members.
- Illinois Farm Bureau issued an action request to support two bills that would exempt farmers from a proposed federal rule requiring the release of climate-related information.
- Thirteen Illinois leaders discussed high input costs and other topics during meetings with members of Illinois’ congressional delegation as part of IFB’s Leaders to Washington program.
- Through the IAA Foundation, IFB provided four early-career agriculture teachers with grants, demonstrating the organization’s commitment to ag education and keeping good teachers in the classroom.
- IFB launched a new partnership with Drury Hotels, providing members a 15% discount with advance reservations.
- American Farm Bureau Federation Vice President Scott VanderWal urged a U.S. Senate committee to advance legislation that would exempt livestock producers from federal regulations on greenhouse gas emissions.
