September Update: Pickup of IFB articles in other news publications
Each week, Illinois Farm Bureau shares articles that originate from within the organization with newspapers across the state. Stories are syndicated through a partnership with the Illinois Press Association (IPA) and can be used by IPA member newspapers to supplement news coverage. Distributed content includes pieces from FarmWeek, Partners and IFB leaders, and aims to bolster coverage of ag-focused issues on mainstream channels.
From Sept. 1-30, IFB articles were published in Illinois newspapers 51 times and reached an estimated 3.3 million people. The top three features in September originated from FarmWeek:
- “Youth organization connects students to ag careers” was picked up by 8 newspapers and potentially reached more than 1.15 million people.
- “Analyst: Market volatility ‘not going anywhere’” was picked up by 7 newspapers and potentially reached more than 131,000 people.
- “Rural hospitals challenged by workforce shortages” was picked up by 4 newspapers and potentially reached more than 789,000 people.
