Mental Health First Aid

IAA Staff and county employees participated in a full day of Mental Health First Aid training on Wednesday, November 9. This program was conducted by Sherry Harris and Cheryl Burcham with the University of Illinois Extension. During this session, participants were given tools to identify signs of mental health, substance abuse issues, learn communication skills, and leave with resources to connect someone with help.

This workshop is offered as part of the North Central Farm & Ranch Stress Assistance Center. IFB held sessions for staff in September and November with a total of 30 participants.
