From the President:
See below for a list of ways IFB has provided value to our members in April. I encourage you to use this as a tool to help recruit and retain members.
- Illinois Farm Bureau participated in Ag Legislative Day in Springfield, highlighting bipartisanship as a key to progress being made on agriculture issues during the spring legislative session.
- IFB submitted comments to the U.S. Environmental Protection Agency on pesticide use and labeling regulations that would require certification to purchase or apply certain pesticides.
- IFB sponsored the Women in Agriculture Conference, an annual event to bring together women from throughout the industry for educational sessions and networking.
- An audience of mostly health care professionals heard about ways to better respond to and treat farmers’ mental well-being at the IFB-sponsored Rural Mental Health Summit.
- The American Farm Bureau Federation and five other national ag groups sent a letter to the Biden Administration to lift a federal ban on summertime sales of E15.
