IFB Hosts Rural Partners Board Meeting
Our local government team was pleased to host the Rural Partners board meeting at our offices on Wednesday. Rural Partners' mission is to be a member-driven forum that links individuals, businesses, organizations and communities with public and private resources to maximize the potential of rural Illinois. Illinois Farm Bureau is a member of Rural Partners and has representation on the board.
During the meeting this week, GAC staff had the opportunity to provide an overview of IFB and share about the current work we are doing on issues related to strategic engagement, food systems, wind and solar, and carbon dioxide pipelines. Following the presentations and a robust Q&A time, the Rural Partners board met and discussed a variety of topics, including upcoming Community Showcase events in Macomb on May 17 and in Taylorville on July 12. Those events are open to anyone who would like to attend. We will share more information about these Community Showcases as we get closer. If you are not familiar with Rural Partners, please check out their website to learn more about membership options and getting engaged with the organization.
