FY23 Q4 Consumer Engagement Grants Awarded
Fifteen county Farm Bureaus were recently awarded grants to host fourteen consumer engagement events in their communities this summer. Eligible projects include events that provide opportunities for one-on-one engagement between consumers and farmers/agricultural professionals.
Projects awarded grants during this funding cycle include:
- Adams County Farm Bureau – Adams County Fair Booth
- Clay County Farm Bureau – Farmers’ Market
- Henry County Farm Bureau – National Night Out
- Jefferson County Farm Bureau – Farmers’ Market Booth
- Kane County Farm Bureau – We are the 96% Promotion at Kane County Fair
- Macon County Farm Bureau – Josh Turner Presented by the MCFB
- Marshall-Putnam Farm Bureau, Bureau County Farm Bureau, and LaSalle County Farm Bureau – End of Summer Healthy Eating
- McHenry County Farm Bureau – Dairy Promotion on Woodstock Square
- Mercer County Farm Bureau – Farm in the Park
- Monroe County Farm Bureau – Farm to Store
- Stephenson County Farm Bureau – We are the 96% Campaign at Stephenson County Fair
- Wabash County Farm Bureau – Farmers’ Market Dairy Promo
- Winnebago-Boone Farm Bureau – Urban Consumer Engagement at the Boone County Fair
- Winnebago-Boone Farm Bureau – Urban Consumer Engagement at the Winnebago County Fair
Throughout FY23, the Illinois Farm Bureau Consumer Engagement Grant program awarded more than $25,000 in matching funds, supporting 36 consumer engagement projects throughout the state.
Illinois Farm Bureau plans to offer Consumer Engagement Grants to County Farm Bureaus again in FY24 during four quarterly application periods. The first application period, for events taking place between September 1, 2023 and August 31, 2024, will be open July 15 – August 15, 2023.
