Pickup of IFB articles in other news publications
Each week Illinois Farm Bureau shares articles that originate from within the organization with newspapers across the state. Stories are syndicated through a partnership with the Illinois Press Association (IPA) and can be used by IPA member newspapers to supplement news coverage. Distributed content includes pieces from FarmWeek, Partners and IFB leaders, and aims to bolster coverage of ag-focused issues on mainstream channels.
From Nov. 1-30, IFB articles were published in Illinois newspapers 54 times and reached an estimated 5.78 million people. Two of the top three features in November originated from FarmWeek and one was an op-ed from President Guebert about holiday food prices:
- “Tight supply to keep butter prices high” was picked up by 8 newspapers and potentially reached more than 1.6 million people.
- “Holiday food prices remain high, but supplies remain strong” was picked up by 3 newspapers and potentially reached more than 1 million people.
- “Diesel supply tight, but it won't run out” was picked up by 9 newspapers and potentially reached more than 852,000 people.
