From the President:

See below for a list of ways IFB has provided value to our members in July. I encourage you to use this as a tool to help recruit and retain members.

  • With a drought ongoing, Illinois Farm Bureau leaders met with members of Illinois’ Congressional delegation, discussing the importance of crop insurance in the next farm bill, a solution to Proposition 12 and other agricultural priorities.
  • A newly signed law allowing township and road district clerks to come from outside the township is the result of a policy resolution originating in Edwards and Wabash counties.
  • Ag literacy specialists from Illinois learned new ways to teach students where their food comes from at the National Agriculture in the Classroom Conference.
  • Farmers explored sustainability concepts and opportunities for our products during discussions with companies hoping to work with agriculture to help decarbonize their supply chains.
  • Young Leaders toured farms and other ag venues in California, gaining a new perspective on the ag industry’s diversity and challenges in the Golden State.
