Managers gather in Bloomington to learn about building local relationships to engage in issues
The Training Department welcomed almost 40 CFB Managers to Bloomington last week for a training with the Local Government and News & Communications teams, Building Local Relationships to Engage in Issues. Managers were able to learn about ways they can successfully interact with local government and policy makers on the local level. They also learned about rural development and success stories with the MAPPING program. Our News and Communication staff visited with the managers about services offered, Issue management and worked through building an elevator speech for media. Attendees had time to practice mock interviews and work through issue management scenarios.
