From the President:

The Illinois Office of Broadband and the Illinois Broadband Lab are holding a series of listening sessions to take input from the public regarding broadband needs. The listening sessions are part of the planning process to qualify for federal funding. Illinois could potentially receive more than $1 billion to improve broadband service in unserved areas of our state.

IFB staff is working with CFB’s to find members willing to participate. It is unfortunate the sessions are occurring during planting season. But it is important farmers and rural residents are represented at the meetings.

Additional details will be added as dates and locations are finalized. Visit this link for schedules, agendas and upcoming listening sessions.
