Ag Industry Tour flyer

July 13–19, 2026

Join the Young Leader Ag Industry Tour this summer as you explore Northern New England agriculture across Vermont, New Hampshire and Maine, July 13–19, 2026.

What to expect: Northern New England agriculture features diverse, smaller-scale family farms and specialty production—maple, dairy, blueberries, potatoes and high-value produce—with a strong focus on soil health and climate resilience. On this tour, you’ll see farm management approaches, technology and agronomic practices across all three states.

Registration procedure: Registration follows the same process as in years past. There are 35 spots available:

  1. Registration is open from 8:00 a.m. Monday, March 16 through 4:00 p.m. Tuesday, March 31. During this window, your County Farm Bureau (CFB) manager can submit registrations for members; tour attendees will be drawn at random (timestamps do not apply). The CVENT registration link will go live March 16.
  2. Ten spots are reserved for first-time attendees and will be randomly selected from the first-time attendee pool.
  3. All remaining spots will be randomly selected from the pool of previous attendees plus any remaining first-time attendees.
  4. If you accept the invitation but cancel by June 1st, your payment will be returned to you and/or your County Farm Bureau. Cancellations after June 2nd are non-refundable.
  5. If you serve on the State Young Leader Committee, you receive priority in the registration process. Spouses of committee members must register through their county and follow the same registration process as CFB members.
  6. CFB managers and staff are not eligible to attend.

How to register: To be entered into the drawing, contact your County Farm Bureau (CFB) manager. CFB staff will submit your information through CVENT.

EVENT opens 8:00 a.m. Monday, March 16 and closes 4:00 p.m. Tuesday, March 31.

After your registration is submitted, you’ll receive an automated email confirming the form was received (this does not guarantee a spot on the tour). After registration closes, the IFB Young Leader Program Coordinator will email participating CFBs with the list of members who are accepted and those who will remain in the waiting pool. If you are accepted, your registration fee must be received by May 8.

Registration fee: The registration fee is $750 per person and includes all meals and hotel accommodations (double occupancy) Monday through Saturday nights. The fee does not include your travel to/from Vermont and Maine. If you prefer a single-occupancy room, you and/or your county will be invoiced an additional $450 to cover the cost difference.

Logistics: You must arrive at the hotel in Burlington, VT, by 4:00 p.m. on Monday, July 13; hotel accommodations will be provided that evening. If enough members arrive around the same time, group travel may be coordinated to the hotel (details will be shared later). The tour begins Monday evening and wraps up Sunday, July 19, at 9:00 a.m. The tour will conclude in Portland, ME; traveling by car is prohibited for this trip. You may fly home Sunday morning. Travel to and from Vermont & Maine is at your own expense.

Young Leader age requirement: To attend, you must be between 18 and 35 years old and cannot turn 36 before July 19, 2026. You must also be a Member in Good Standing when you register and at the time of the trip.
