Our value at work
In February, the value of this organization was on full display. Our trusted information, impactful advocacy and meaningful development truly make a difference for our members.
-
Impactful Advocacy. The latest issue of LINK is a deep dive into our local government priorities. We had outstanding speakers and information at our Governmental Affairs Leadership Conference.
-
Trusted Information. AgResource Company’s Dr. Bill Tierney joined DeLoss Jahnke on Profit Watch for a little Tariffs 101. COUNTRY’s Doug Yoder wrote about crop insurance decisions in FarmWeek. Mexico formally withdrew its ban on genetically engineered corn. Here’s some University of Illinois research on early planted soybeans.
-
Meaningful Development. Illinois Farm Bureau invested $105,000 in rural development grants aimed at elevating projects that help emergency services and/or economic development in our rural communities. Rules for the Road and Anhydrous Ammonia Certified Grower Training are ongoing and great resources for our members. Our Young Leaders learned about succession planning and much more at Young Leaders Conference.
