OMS Update

We received applications from members representing 42 county Farm Bureaus, an excellent turnout that shows our members’ continued commitment to keeping Illinois Farm Bureau strong long into the future. County Farm Bureau managers and home office staff also expressed interest in being part of this next phase of the OMS process.

Based on the field of applicants, we felt the members listed below offer the best diversity across a number of factors, including personal, farm and county Farm Bureau characteristics. IFB staff leads have also been assigned to each group to serve as subject matter experts.

The three subcommittees will meet several times over the next few months, each building an action plan that will be presented to the OMS Advisory Committee. More information on previous phases of the OMS and what’s ahead with the OMS can be found here.

I truly appreciate the support and interest in the OMS project expressed by members, county Farm Bureau leaders and IFB staff members. This is a tremendous opportunity to shape the path of our organization and to navigate that path, together, so that we can properly position Farm Bureau to serve our members into the future.
