State Rep. Angelica Guerrero-Cuellar, D-Chicago, recently joined the Illinois Farm Bureau Adopt-A-Legislator program and hosted representatives of the Edwards County Farm Bureau and IFB for a tour of her 22nd district.
The Farm Bureau visitors stopped at three public schools. They saw two campuses of the Academy of Global Citizenship and the Edward N. Hurley Elementary School. School staff and administration showed the visitors how their schools operated and provided information about their curriculum.
Discussions covered issues that affect Guerrero-Cuellar’s district as well as those impacting rural Illinois, specifically the southeastern part of the state.
Guerrero-Cuellar represents the district that was represented by former Speaker Michael Madigan.
