From the President:

See below for a list of ways IFB has provided value to our members in August. I encourage you to use this as a tool to help recruit and retain members.

  • Illinois Farm Bureau engaged members at the Illinois State Fair and Farm Progress Show, sharing valuable information and issue updates, supporting youth events, and making connections with government and industry leaders.
  • IFB leaders remained involved in the farm bill conversation through listening sessions with various members of Congress, including U.S. Rep. Mike Bost, U.S. House Agriculture Committee Chair Glenn “GT” Thompson and more.
  • An appeal filed by IFB and landowner groups triggered a pause in implementation of the statewide Grain Belt Express Transmission Line.
  • IFB filed comments calling on the U.S. Environmental Protection Agency to withdraw a proposed rule to classify seven categories of PFAS as “hazardous substances.”
  • IFB recognized outstanding Young Leaders, awarding Clay and Alyssa Abbott of Kankakee County with the Achievement Award and Megan Dwyer of Henry County with the Excellence Award.
