The 27th Annual Illinois Agriculture in the Classroom Golf Outing raises $42,000 to support Ag Literacy

Fans of golf and Illinois Agriculture in the Classroom (IAITC) had the chance to combine pursuits into one great day of giving! The IAA Foundation welcomed volunteers, sponsors and golf participants to this annual charity event held June 8 at the Oaks at River’s Edge in Pontiac. Generosity all around led to $42,000 raised for Ag Literacy.

The IAA Foundation extends gratitude to everyone who brought a foursome, became a sponsor, volunteered, or helped promote this fundraising event, and a special thanks to Livingston County Farm Bureau for serving as host county. Your collective support is what helps reach our funding goals.

Money raised helps ensure a fully funded program year for IAITC, which keeps Ag Mags and other classroom resources available to teachers at no cost, and most importantly, provides county Ag Literacy Coalitions matching grants to keep local programs thriving.

Events are just one way the IAA Foundation can highlight the importance of IAITC while giving meaningful recognition to the organizations and individuals who support the program each and every year.

Check out today’s edition of FarmWeek for recognition of event sponsors, and more photos from the day can be enjoyed on Facebook.   IAITC Partners can be found on the IAA Foundation Website.
