The Nutrient Loss Reduction Strategy (NLRS) is a framework for using science, technology, and industry experience to assess and reduce nutrient loss in Illinois waters, as well as the Gulf of Mexico. The NLRS calls for collaboration between many groups of stakeholders to see progress on each of the NLRS goals. As such, IFB has made it a priority to build relationships and partnerships with a wide array of stakeholders through numerous efforts. While many of our partnerships take place through the Nutrient Stewardship Grant Program, we also partner with stakeholders through other programs and opportunities. Some of these partnerships include collaborations with drinking water suppliers and wastewater treatment plants, researchers, and other industry experts.
