A virtual Governmental Affairs Leadership Conference Feb. 16-18 will provide members with updates on topics ranging from national and state legislation to pesticide application rules and implementation of Nutrient Loss Reduction Strategies.
Illinois Farm Bureau Governmental Affairs & Commodities staff will lead each daily session from noon to 1 p.m. The Feb. 16 session will feature national and state updates along with legislative priorities.
The Feb. 17 session will focus on anhydrous ammonia certified grower training requirements, dicamba rules, renewable energy impact, rural broadband programs, livestock updates, concentrated animal feeding operation National Pollutant Discharge Elimination System permits, and more.
Topics for the Feb. 18 session include ways in which county Farm Bureaus and their leadership can engage with local officials.
Members may register for the free conference by contacting their county Farm Bureau. A link allowing access will be sent to participants prior to each session. Sessions will be recorded and available for later viewing.
