Harvest for All

One in nine people in Illinois struggle with hunger. The Illinois Harvest for All program demonstrates the generosity of Illinois agriculture by participating in the American Farm Bureau Harvest for All campaign. The committee promotes fundraising through food drives, and sale of memorabilia, and distributes materials to county Farm Bureaus.

The Illinois Farm Bureau encourages local involvement and partners with FFA chapters, Collegiate Farm Bureau chapters, and county Young Leader programs to fight against food insecurity in Illinois. The top collecting counties are awarded the Top Harvest for All recognition during the IAA Annual Meeting in Chicago.

Illinois Farm Bureau’s Young Leaders raised the most money, $205,900 and tallied the most volunteer hours, 7,035, for the 2019 American Farm Bureau Federation Harvest for All program.

National Recognition

In 2018, the Illinois Farm Bureau Young Leaders were recognized as the American Farm Bureau Federation Harvest for All national winner for funds raised, and national runner-up for hours volunteered.
