#Harvest18 is here for many growers in Illinois. The excitement of harvest has been growing as we prepped machinery for the season. On our farm, Corey Combine has been “sick” as we attempted to delay our two-year old from combine rides...there will be plenty of them this fall!

Reflecting back, 2018 has had it all. Weather, trade, tweets, Sharknado 6 and more, 2018 will be a year to remember; maybe forget? The potential for high yields has added to the excitement of harvest this year, but also seems to bring a lot of stress. We won’t know the yields until the combine rolls, so it will be important to maintain focus to end the year on a high note.

While the excitement and stress of harvest will be front of mind, we must remember to take a moment. Take a moment to slow down. Take a moment to thank the people helping get the work done. Take a moment and thank those that provide us support while long nights and short tempers persist. Finally, take a moment and thank the good Lord for the opportunities and blessings we have been given.

Stay safe during #harvest18.
