Gov. J.B. Pritzker signed 591 bills passed in the spring legislative session. One of Illinois Farm Bureau’s state legislative priorities was among those signed by the governor before the deadline.
HB 3677, now Public Act 101-0520, preserves the right of a co-tenant to sell his or her interest in inherited property, while ensuring other co-tenants have the necessary due process to prevent a forced sale.
The General Assembly sent Pritzker 599 bills. He vetoed seven and returned one back to the legislature with an amendatory veto. Lawmakers will return for the fall veto session in late October.
